The finest introduction to local school board service found anywhere. All new school board members are required by law (O.C.G.A 20-2-230) to attend New Board Member Orientation  within the first year of assuming office. In the twelve hours of training, school board members will be introduced to school law, school finance issues including budget, parliamentary procedures, superintendent evaluation process and much more. Veteran members are welcome to attend to refresh their skills.

New Board Members will receive 12 credit hours for attending this workshop.
